The Cozy Management Shelf Is Getting Crowded

You've probably scrolled past a cozy management game this week and figured you'd already played it. Fair. Three more demos and trailers showed up on Monday alone.

Which ones are worth a spot in your library? And what do the keepers have in common?

Alpine Lake has you build an inn and restaurant from scratch in an alpine region, with guests who each arrive with their own story. Sushi on Wheels (7 December) starts with a late grandmother's food truck and works up to a permanent restaurant. Bless You Again, a cel-shaded roguelite about a young magician hunting the Philosopher's Stone, rounds out the batch. All three have demos on Steam.

I think the keepers give the chores a second job. Dave the Diver sends you out fishing so the restaurant has something to serve at night. Spiritfarer's cooking and building exist so you can look after the passengers you're ferrying. Cult of the Lamb sends you out to fight so the cult has followers worth keeping.

Alpine Lake's guests with stories look like they're aiming for that. I haven't played the demo yet, so that's a guess.

Which cozy game made you care about the chores? Put it on a shelf so the rest of us can find it.
